Mars Hill Radio, established in 1966 with over 20 signals across New York State, came to Radioservers seeking a complete website overhaul. To meet their ambitious goals, Radioservers developed several groundbreaking custom features.
Custom Program Guide
Mars Hill required a comprehensive Program Guide that was easy to navigate, searchable, and contained tabbed dayparts for grouping.
We designed a custom plugin that lists each program and, when required, allows grouping of individual shows under one host. For example, when a featured program plays within a greater hosted show, such as the morning show.
Each title listed contains a link to the program’s external website and includes a pop-up audio player of the latest episode.
Each title also has it’s own custom post type with a full profile of the show, when it airs and other details.
Pastor Of The Day
The Pastor Of The Day required the ability to not only archive past featured pastors with custom post types and detailed information, but also be able to look ahead and show upcoming posts before they are published.
The main page displays current, future, and past featured pastors while each individual pastor post reveals details about their church and ministry, including the latest sermon media.

Interactive Prayer Page
While there are many solutions for prayer walls on the web, none were able to showcase Mars Hill’s specific needs to:
- show the requests on a map, giving a visual reminder of the impact of it’s wide-reaching ministry
- allow all requests to be moderated by site admins before publishing
- send an encouraging email to each user daily, letting them know they are being prayed for
- send a reminder to station staff if any prayer request is not prayed for in the past 24 hours
These features as well as categorization, spam prevention and more made this a very comprehensive plugin for their site.
Clean, Responsive Web Design
Mars Hills wanted to pivot from their previous busy, content crowded site to a new, clean open concept that looks great on mobile devices as well as desktop. This was achieved with a custom theme that included a custom carousel for The Event Calendar Plugin, color palette matching and uniform branding.
Custom Add-on for The Event Calendar
The Event Calendar is one of the most popular calendar plugins for WordPress, but it does not have a built-in post-like carousel. We created one for Mars Hill to showcase upcoming featured events on their home page.

88.3 The Journey
KJRN in Keene, TX serves southern DFW metroplex and North Central Texas. Rich Hooper and his team rely on Radioservers for full-time webmaster services and as such, 88.3 The Journey has unlimited access to Radioservers software and staff. We redesign their website every 3 years or as needed, provide unlimited graphics included branded Bible verses for daily posts, featured post images, advertising banners for supporters and more.
Unified Music Display
At the core of the website re-design is the Radioservers Unified Music Display Plugin. This plugin retrieves meta data from the station’s automation system, fetches the album art (which can be customized) and pairs it with the current DJ for display in a variety of ways on the site.
Recent Songs Slider Carousel and Full Page History
Whether a button as part of the navigation, a carousel for the home page or a full-page history of album covers, this plugin can provide a myriad of ways to display your data with real-time refreshing so it’s always up to date.
Custom Chart

20 The Countdown Magazine uses a custom plugin made for countdown shows. It adapts beautifully to mobile screens and allows visitors to rate the songs as they listen. This plugin also allows the chart to publish manually by admin or by weekly audience ratings.
The Hot Chart is a volunteer collaboration between Boost FM St. Louis, KXOJ Tulsa and Radioservers. The site fills a need for tracking iarplay among hip-hop, pop and rhythmic ccm stations across the country.
Christian Music Broadcasters
Radioservers powers the CMB website and email forums with custom software and techniques to meet their specific advertising, tracking and promotional needs. The site has a wide variety of applications from event promotion to job listings, news, private membership area and more.
